We are dedicated to the development of customer product and process:

Our Research and Development Department team is a dedicated resource for our customers to utilize in the development of product. Located in a separate facility, adjacent to the main manufacturing plant, the R&D team uses the latest technology, including finite element analysis and die simulation to shorten product development lead-time. Unlike typical prototype shops that are focused solely on fabrication, our focus is on process for mass production. Elements like chemical and mechanical properties of material are evaluated along with grain direction.

The form and draw process are designed and built specifically with the production process in mind. This means the knowledge gained in prototype builds can be carried over to the mass production tooling builds saving valuable development time and money.

The focus of Pridgeon & Clay's, A2LA accredited, Advanced Engineering Laboratory is to provide our customers with accurate product validation data in a timely manner. Our scope of accreditation includes:

The laboratory also features two universal test beds with the ability to adapt to just about any fixture configuration. Coupled with thermal dynamic test capabilities for component testing and impact test cells we are able validate your product quickly and inexpensively. As an independent testing facility out testing services are available for other companies. We offer an accurate low cost option for material testing and product validation while providing prompt turn around.

Pridgeon & Clay's CNC area has full three-dimensional capabilities and is networked with our Principal Design System, which allows us to machine directly from your engineering data. With five CNC vertical machining centers, two wire EDM's and a CNC lathe, supported by five design and programming seats. We are able to maintain over 3,000 active production tools and fixtures and support over 500 tooling builds annually.
